4 Miracle Uses for Coconut Oil

Winter is notoriously harsh on your skin, with the miracle that is coconut oil it can be a lot easier to combat. We have come up with our 4 favourite uses for coconut oil that will keep you soft all winter long as well as adding a little bit of tropics to your life!

1.Body Moisturizer

Coconut Oil is extremely hydrating all natural moisturizer. It can take longer to dry than regular moisturizer but it is worth it! Put it all over your skin like a normal and allow it to sink in, it will probably take about 15 minutes before you can put on your clothes. Your skin will thank you for it.

2. Cuticle Oil

Hangnails are painful and go hand in hand with the cold air! Stop them when they happen and before they happen with coconut oil! Rub a little coconut oil on all of your cuticles before you go to bed and it will get rid of any hangnails that may have happened because of the cold air!

3. Hair Mask

If you are anything like me your hair gets ridiculously dry as soon as the weather turns. Before you go to bed put coconut oil all over your hair- as if you were shampooing, then go to bed with it in and a towel over your pillow to stop it from getting all over your sheets. If you don’t want to go to bed with it thats not a problem! It can be done during the day leave it for at least 60 minutes but the longer the better!

4. Oil Pulling

This may not help your skin get softer but who doesn’t want a whiter teeth? This had to be included on our list! Get 1 TBSP of Coconut Oil and swoosh it around in your mouth for about 20 minutes. I like to do it while I am in the shower, not only does it make your teeth whiter it also kills all the bacteria in your mouth and gives you stronger gums!
