Vancouver is home to diverse neighbourhoods, cultures and amazing city, sea and mountain views. I have put together a list of not to miss places when you’re in Vancouver which hopefully inspires a future trip.

Jack Poole Plaza/ Canada Place
Jack Poole Plaza and Canada Place is home to the Olympic Torch that lit during the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. If you are lucky enough to be in Vancouver during the summer months there are often festivals happening as well as being able to watch cruise ships sailing away. Again it is also home to some amazing views that you can enjoy while having dinner at one of the restaurants located in the Plaza.Source: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/
Not your typical tourist destination but worth the journey out. Removed from the rest of Vancouver UBC is a city in itself. One of the most beautiful universities in the world with views that most universities only dream of. UBC is a mixture of both old buildings and some very new ones (check out the new Student Nest and Alumni Centre). Take a walk down to the Rose Garden for an absolutely breath taking view. Main Street Vancouver
Main Street Vancouver is home to some of the most interesting and unique shops in Vancouver. Named one of Vancouver’s most interesting streets, the combination of world class restaurants, night clubs, boutiques and high end stores there is something for everyone.
In the heart of downtown Vancouver Robson street is a main shopping location for the locals of Vancouver. Down the street is the Vancouver Art Gallery which always has different exhibitions. During the winter there is also an ice rink that is open below the ground. If you are there at night you will see the street come to life when all the trees are lit up to make it seem almost magical.
One of the more popular beaches in Vancouver, Kits beach is perfect for everybody. Amazing views and great food just a street away. Its easily accessible from the city on public transport and you are still close enough to everything that Vancouver has to offer, all while feeling as if you are on a tropical island.
